We always try our best go extra step further to making sure that our clients receive the best treatment and it can be offered. We request you to read the booking terms and conditions carefully and to understand them before booking your trip with us. This Booking Terms and Conditions is a legal binding contract between Himalayan Trails Trekking & Climbing P.ltd and you for the services provided by HTTC and set out the basis of your legal relationship with us. We accept your bookings under the following terms and conditions
In order to confirm your bookings, we require a non refundable sum of US$ 200 (US$ Two Hundred) only per person. You can transfer us by bank or pay with credit card. The balance rest of the trip amount can be paid upon you arrival in Kathmandu or any time before your trip starts.
Any amount charged to you by your bank for transferring the sum to us or while paying by credit cards 3% extra will be added for card processing fee. All rates are in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
If you leave the trip group, whatever the reason be, once the trip starts, no refund will be given for any unused portion of the trip.
We strongly recommend that all of our travelers purchase travel insurance. Travel insurance can help cover situations such as cancellation and trip interruption (due to injury or illness before or during the trip), medical emergency costs, helicopter evacuation and baggage loss. It also helps protect you in the event of loss of non-refundable trip deposits and payments that result from cancellation or trip interruption. Families traveling together, in particular, can benefit from traveler’s insurance, due to the high investment in the trip and the increased risk of one person’s illness resulting in the entire trip being cancelled.
The itinerary can change without notice under unexpected circumstances which is beyond our control like weather, flight cancellations by the airlines, snow, landslide, political unrest, road blockage, avalanches, sudden sickness etc (situations not in our control). Himalayan trails Trekking & Climbing (p) Ltd will not be held responsible for any unforeseen events. However, we would offer you alternative trip of similar nature and standard. However, any extra expenses incurred to you due to this cancellation would be your own responsibility.
Any extra expenses incurred to you because of flight delays or cancellation mainly in Lukla or any other remote airstrips. Or any such extra cost due to reasons beyond our control would be your personal expenses.
Our trips are guaranteed to depart once they have one fully paid traveler unless minimum group size. We may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a full refund. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
If you wish to cancel your trip, this must be done by email or phone call. The date of trip cancellation is the date on which the written cancellation is received by the company. In case of cancellation of the trip, any amount already charged by the company is non-refundable. However, yours advance payment which you send us for booking is reusable. Depending upon your reason of cancelation the Company reserves the right to change, modify itinerary for your next trip. If cancellation made within the week of departure or upon arrival in Kathmandu no refund shall be provided. Due payment should be made or claimed by legal process. No refunds will be made for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals, Permits or services not utilized. No refunds will be made if the customer voluntarily leaves the trip for any reason. But we can provide the alternative trip for the remaining value. If you already paid to the company will be refunded but there will be less 13% Gov tax & Bank Charges.
We even accept last minute booking. You can book a trip to Nepal 7 days prior to the trip departure dates but Last minute booking may not acceptable in case of Bhutan or Tibet trip.
Himalayan Trails will do our best to make your journey safe and comfortable. You travel at your own risk at all times. Himalayan Trails uses your email and personal details solely for the purpose of processing your enquiries and operating your trip. We do not sell or share your personal details with anyone nor will we use it for any purposes other than mentioned above.
Our trekking Guide & staffs will always provide you most sincere services and we guarantee you that none of our staffs will harm or steal your belongings. We can’t be held responsible for any unfortunate situations of loss or theft of your properties during the trip. Himalayan Trails will do our best to make your journey safe and comfortable. You travel at your own risk at all times.
Himalayan Trails or our trek Leader / guide reserve the right to alter the route, walking duration. And make other amendments for the safety and interest of the group, especially on weather difficulties, group member sickness or injury. In case of emergency rescue or evacuation from remote places the company shall assist to manage a rescue helicopter subject to the guarantee of repayment of all such expenses from your insurance company or by your own.
Himalayan Trails or Our trek leader / guide reserve the right to expel you from the group if you do serious unlawful acts. We expect that you will follow to our policy and guidelines while traveling with us.
You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the countries which you will visit during your trip. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip
Owning to its demanding geographical location and climatic variation, the domestic flights in Nepal are mostly prone to flight delays and cancellation. The adverse weather conditions like heavy rain, thick fog, strong winds, etc. may lead to flight delays and cancellation. Trekking in the remote areas (Lukla, Jomsom, Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region etc), especially during odd season, you’re highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some extra day or two in Kathmandu into your itinerary to avoid any problems with flight delays and cancellations.
If you don’t have an extra day or any kind of emergency, we can charter a helicopter for you to ensure you arrive back in Kathmandu on time all additional cost would be your responsibility. If helicopters are limited in availability they may only be available to shuttle guests to Phaplu which is an airstrip in the valley below Lukla. We can arrange the jeep from Phaplu to Kathmandu. Be prepared for a 10 to 14 hours journey on rough roads.
If you have any complaint during your trip, you must make it known at the earliest opportunity head guide or to us (HTTC). If your complaint is not resolved locally, please inform in our head office in Kathmandu before your departure from Kathmandu. It is strongly suggested that you communicate any complaint to your tour leader without delay. Most of the problem will be solved on the way with the leader and if there are some which are not solved. We will solve in Kathmandu.
