Rebuilding Shailugeshor Basic School In Dolkha

The 7.9 magnitude devastating earthquake caused terribly massive destruction in Nepal and took the life of more than 9,000 people. The devastating quake of 25 April and 12 May 2015 had shaken the nation terribly. In total, almost 9,000 individuals have died. Hundreds of thousands of residences were destroyed. Similarly, thousands of individuals were injured, and many people became homeless. All the Important old historical, cultural, and archaeological heritage sites, as well as government infrastructure, were destroyed in Nepal, such as the Sailung School in Dolakha. The Sailugewhor Basic School is currently run inside the zinc slate. And all of the school’s buildings have completely fallen. School children were studying outside on the muddy grass.

Likewise, Himalayan Trails Trekking and Climbing, with the help of Clearskies. Mr. Hannes Grobner, Mr. Helmut Meier, Mrs. Sarah Floss, and some of our German friends built the new school building. The school was inaugurated by the honorable Politbureau Member, Mr. Pashupati Chaulagain. Meanwhile, in the presence of many local politician members, Mr. Hannes Grobner, a local police officer, a teacher, Students, local villagers & team members of Himalayan Trails. The new building will be the place where students will build their capacities and their aspirations with the support of their teachers.

However, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all our clients, friends, and partners for their generous support in rehabilitating people in distress and building a new School building. They were brutally devastated in the 2015 tragic earthquake.
