- Day 01
Everest base camp helicopter tour with landing at Kalapatther and experience high altitude breakfast at Everest View Hotel & return back to Kathmandu O/N Hotel
Wake up early in the morning, we pick you from your hotel and drive to Domestic airport. After some legal formality we will fly from Kathmandu. The views from above are just stunning. Around 30min after we had taken off from Kathmandu, we will land in Lukla. Lukla airport is the starting point of the Everest Base Camp ascend and one of the scariest airports in the world. The stop was required to drop fuel. After refueling we again take off towards our destination. We fly high into Dudh Kosi River gorge in between the peaks of Kwangde and Kusumkanguru with Tharmarserku peaks, as the chopper whirls heading at Namche Bazaar. From Namche we fly higher with awesome panorama of snow peaks with Mt. Everest and majestic Amadablam peaks. After two hours of great flight we will land at the highest point of the Everest Base Camp trek, Kala Patthar (5545m). It is the best and closest point for you to view Mt. Everest. After landing, you will get 10 minutes there to take pictures or videos. After that spectacular view, get into our chopper. The Helicopter makes rounding flight around Base Camp and takes you to Hotel Everest View for breakfasts. You will stop Hotel Everest View for about 45 minutes to 1 hour for breakfast. Finally, head back to Lukla to refuel before your return to Kathmandu, where you’ll touch down at the airport before drop-off at your hotel. After flying about 45 minutes from Lukla you will Land in Domestic airport. Then return back to you hotel.
