Druk Path Trek is the most popular trek in the country as it passes through a gorgeous natural landscape of blue pine forests, high ridges, and pristine lakes. While at the same time the opportunity to visit some ancient Lhakhangs, dzongs, and villages. It connects the valleys of Paro and Thimpu. The trail passes through spectacular rhododendron forests, alpine yak pastures, and beautiful lakes stocked with snowy mountains. Druk Path Trek starts from an altitude of around 2,400m and crosses passes as high as 6,000m. The lower-altitude winter trekking routes range from 1,300 meters to 1,800 meters. Enable the less hardy trekkers to enjoy the beauty of a semi-tropical climate.
On your arrival day in Kathmandu
You will be received by the representative staff from Himalayan Trails Trekking & Climbing with proper greetings. Then, afterward, you will be transferred to the hotel. After time get refreshed if you want more information regarding your trip. You will meet a representative person to brief you about your trip to Druk Path Trek. In the evening Himalayan Trails Trekking & Climbing organizes an authentic Nepali welcome dinner with ethnic cultural entertainment. Also, you can chat with your guide about your trip. The next day after a Full day of Sightseeing in UNESCO-listed historical sites. Such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath(monkey temple), and Pashupatinath in Kathmandu Valley with an experienced Tour Guide by private vehicle. And stay overnight in the Hotel in Kathmandu.
Your Trip to Bhutan
On day three after breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport and then flown to Paro, Transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit
to Rinpung Dzong, where Bertolucci’s Little Buddha movie was shot. Also, enjoy views from the watchtower Ta Dzong and visit the National Museum. The trek begins by walking up through apple orchards and pine forests past ruined Jele Dzong (fortress). Which sits on a high grassy ridge with breathtaking views of Mount Jumolhari to the north. In the next 4 days, we climb above the tree line and cross several passes, including the Phume La (4210m). En route, we come across clear mountain lakes, some yak herder’s camps, and splendid views of the Himalayas along the Bhutan.
Likewise, the Tibet border includes Mount Jumolhari, Jitchu Drake, and Gangkar Punsum (7,570m), the highest mountain of Bhutan. Our final descent through pine and juniper forests via Phadjoding monasteries would lead to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Where you can explore the interesting points, and go around the streets to visit Memorial Chorten, always busy with devotees. See the main post office with the valuable Bhutanese stamps. So, we can visit a small zoo. Where the national animal, the Takin is kept, and Changankha Lhakhang, the oldest place of worship in Thimphu. In the evening visit to Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the King and government.
