Manaslu Trekking

Manaslu Trekking is one of the spiritual experience. Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world 8,163m above sea level. However, it is located at the Gorkha district in the “Mansari Himal” Range about 65 km east of Annapurna in the north west-central part of Nepal. The Manaslu means “Mountain of the Spirit”, comes from the Sanskrit word Manasa. The meaning is “intellect” or “soul”. Manaslu was first climbed on May 9 – 1956 by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu, members of a Japanese Expedition.

In the region two ethnics groups inhabiting Nubri and Tsum, the Budhigandaki and Chhikur branching river separate these two ethnic dominates. Nubri has frequently travelers visiting after Nepal Gov.  Opened itself for tourism since the 1950’s, Tsum still preserving their traditional culture, and both valleys are very famous for art tradition and stone carving.

Manaslu Trekking is considered to be one of the most beautiful mountains and trekking in Nepal. Especially, the Manaslu will reward every adventurous trekker with an unparalleled alpine experience. Opened in 1992, this area offers a combination of rich cultural inheritance, unique natural beauties, and vast biodiversity. The region dominated by Tibetan Buddhism, Buddhist culture, and religion landmark, also legendary salt trading trails between Tibet and Nepal.
